Two new partners across Aotearoa New Zealand and Australia will use MyProgress for placement assessment in nursing, midwifery, pharmacy and medicine.

We're delighted to welcome two new customers to MyKnowledgeMap: the University of Waikato in Aotearoa New Zealand and Deakin University in Australia.

University of Waikato

MyKnowledgeMap is pleased to announce that the University of Waikato has chosen MyProgress as the ePortfolio and workplace assessment platform for the New Zealand Graduate School of Medicine (NZGSM).

The NZGSM, based in the new Division of Health precinct on Waikato’s Hamilton campus, has Government backing and will be New Zealand’s first graduate-entry medical school. It will take its first students in 2028. Its focus is training the doctors New Zealand needs most, especially in general practice and in regional and rural communities. Much of each student’s learning will take place on clinical placements across the country.

Waikato won’t use MyProgress for medicine alone. The University will also roll it out across its nursing, midwifery and pharmacy programmes. That gives the Division of Health a shared platform for placement-based learning and assessment across professions, and creates opportunities for interprofessional learning.

Deakin University

Deakin is one of Australia’s most respected universities. It’s known for strong graduate outcomes, close ties with health services and a long record of leading student satisfaction. Its School of Nursing and Midwifery is among the largest and most highly regarded in the country.

Deakin will use MyProgress across its nursing and midwifery programmes, supporting complex placement models, workplace-based assessment and the evidence that accreditation bodies expect.

Strengthening our presence in Australia and New Zealand

These partnerships deepen our commitment to health education across Australia and New Zealand. Wherever students are on placement, we want them to have a simple, reliable way to show their competence. Their educators also need clear, timely insight into how students are progressing.

We look forward to working closely with both teams and sharing more as the work develops.
