Following the Nursing and Midwifery Council's publication of proposals to consult on changes to its education standards, we're hosting a webinar discussion to help the sector explore what these changes could mean for practice learning.
The discussion will be held by two leading voices in nursing education:
Julie Bliss, Senior Nursing Education Adviser at the Nursing and Midwifery Council, will provide background to the proposed changes from the regulator's perspective — exploring the rationale behind the review and what the NMC hopes to achieve for students, educators, and the profession.
Mariama Seray-Wurie, Associate Professor/Head of Practice Learning at the University of Roehampton and Co-chair of the Pan London Practice Learning Group (PLPLG), will offer insight from the higher education perspective — considering how institutions and practice partners might approach implementation if the proposals are adopted.
Who should attend?
This webinar is open to colleagues from all higher education institutions and practice partner organisations with an interest in nursing education. Whether you're involved in curriculum design, placement coordination, practice assessment or quality assurance, this session offers a valuable opportunity to hear directly from both the regulator and the sector, ask questions, and join the discussion.
A space for discussion
MyKnowledgeMap is hosting this webinar as a service to the sector — providing a space for open discussion about changes that will affect everyone involved in practice learning. There will be no product demonstrations or commercial content, nor is the NMC endorsing MyKnowledgeMap.
