We're thrilled to announce that King's College London has launched the MyProgress ePortfolio to support its nursing programmes within the Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care.

This partnership represents a significant milestone for MyKnowledgeMap. King's nursing provision is not simply excellent—it is officially the best in the world. In March 2025, King's College London was ranked first globally for Nursing in the QS World University Rankings by Subject, overtaking the University of Pennsylvania to claim the top position. The ranking reflects outstanding performance across academic reputation, research impact, and the productivity of its faculty—a testament to the institution's unwavering commitment to excellence in nursing education and research.

A Legacy of Innovation

The Florence Nightingale Faculty traces its origins to the training school established by Florence Nightingale herself over 150 years ago, making it the birthplace of modern nursing education. It is fitting that an institution with such a pioneering heritage should continue to lead the way in how future nurses are educated and assessed.

With MyProgress now in place, King's nursing students have access to a purpose-built digital platform designed to capture their clinical learning, document competency development, and support meaningful reflection throughout their training. The ePortfolio enables students, educators, and clinical supervisors to work collaboratively, ensuring that assessment and feedback remain closely aligned with the demands of contemporary healthcare practice.

With at-a-glance dashboards, educators can track progress across cohorts, flag at-risk students, and view real-time data aligned to programme milestones. This facilitates timely intervention and ultimately helps to reduce attrition.

A Unified Approach Across London

King's is part of the Pan London Practice Learning Group, a collaborative network of universities across the capital who have adopted MyProgress as their shared ePortfolio platform to support Nursing, SCPHN, and Midwifery. This unified approach brings significant benefits for nursing education in London: clinical supervisors working across multiple NHS trusts can use a single, familiar system regardless of which university a student belongs to, reducing complexity and improving the quality of practice-based assessment. For students, it means a consistent experience throughout their training, and for the capital's healthcare system, it represents a streamlined approach to supporting the next generation of nurses.

The intuitive MyProgress interface makes it simple for students to log practice hours, monitor their progress through their programme, and log key learning and reflections - even when offline.

Supporting Future Leaders in Healthcare

As the nursing profession faces unprecedented global challenges, the importance of producing graduates who are ready to lead, innovate, and transform health and care has never been greater. MyProgress provides King's with a flexible and robust platform that supports this mission—enabling the faculty to maintain the highest standards of evidence-based education while preparing students to excel in practice, research, and leadership.

We're proud to be working alongside the world's leading nursing programme and look forward to supporting King's students as they begin their journey toward becoming the next generation of healthcare leaders.
