MyProgress 8.3 Release Notes

Preview of new Tariff Report support

The NHS Tariff Report is part of the national payment system in England. It sets out how healthcare providers are reimbursed for the services they deliver. MyProgress 8.3 introduces a preview of new functionality that we have introduced to Myprogress to support customer's who have to submit information for the Tariff report to NHS England. We plan to develop this report further following feedback from customers who find it useful. The Report outlines course name, provider and hours amongst other data. In order to fully support the report there is some additional data that will need to be set up, and provider information linked to student timesheets needs to be accurate and up to date.


Note - The Report is a custom role option, but also a tenant (site specific) option which we must enable. If you wish to have it enabled please let us know via a ticket.


Note - This report is only for users with an "Organisational" role visibility.


Access to Dashboard for Unverified Hours

In MyProgress Version 8.2, only Practice Staff had access to the verification dashboard to bulk verify timesheets/practice hours. In 8.3, all roles will have the option to allow visibility via the custom role options, of the dashboard, apart from 'External' role types. As is currently the case, external visibility roles (for example Practice Staff) will still only be able to verify timesheets for placement allocations they are directly linked too.


Domain Whitelisting

Administrators will be able to setup and manage a list of "approved" email domains. During the email sign off and email for later workflows, when students are entering an email address, it will warn them should they not be using a domain from the approved list and will need them to confirm they are happy to proceed. Any emails used, not on the approved list, will be highlighted within the response, with future development of a report in the Roadmap for future release.


The approved list of domains, is hierarchical, from top of the Organisation down. Sub-Organisations can setup their own additional approved domains, but they are unable to edit parent organisational ones.


Role Dependency for Role Assignment

Against a role is a new setting, that once enabled this will prevent anyone assigning that role to any users unless, they themselves are within any role.


Multi-Factor Authentication for Administration roles

Within Myprogress 8.3, we have introduced the new option against a users role "Enforce MFA". If that is enabled, when you sign in with a non-sso account, while in that role, the user will be prompted to use multi-factor authentication.

If the user has an account that has multiple roles, they should only get prompted to use multi-factor authentication, based on their active (main) role.

Email Invite Report

A new report has been added to the already existing compliment of reporting, following customer feedback. This provides details on drafts sent by students using the "email for later" workflow. As well as filtering where students have / have not received a reply, it also details the students name, ID, date the email was sent, form name, recipients name, placement provider, start and end date, date last reminder sent, any message on the email and general status.


Note - This is only for future email for later submissions, it will not show historical data prior to the 8.3 release.

Custom Role Addition - Changing Owner of Providers

There is a new child function under "Providers" within the custom role options, that enables the ability for users to change the owner of a provider.


Once enabled users will be presented with the option to change the owner of a provider via the edit provider modal. (They must also have 'Update Providers' enabled to get to this.) This allows anyone with this function enabled to change the owner of providers even if they don't currently manage the provider.


Certificate of Completion

To continue building on the Progress View export, a certificate of completion can be generated, for Progress View templates, which have deployment grading enabled. This feature allows some certificate formatting options, which when graded, can be downloaded for use outside of MyProgress.


General Fixes

i) Re-wording of Signature interaction text - Following customer feedback, the word "scribble" has been replaced with "write" within the signature interaction box on forms.


ii) MyProgress Legacy Re-direct - Any users trying to load the legacy MyProgress URL, will be redirected to their "epad" URL, unless they are an Administrator, managing timesheet activity types/email templates.


iii) Signature Interaction - In the current version, enabling "hide responses to this interaction from student" on Signature interactions box, doesn't hide the signature int he response. In 8.3, this is fixed to hide the response section from students.


vi) Bug Fix - When expanding all menu items on a students homepage, if the items extended beyond the bottom of the browser, the scroll bar did not appear for the last menu item. Resolved to include the scroll bar.


v) Bug Fix - When viewing the side menu on a students Portfolio, if the menu item was more than 18 characters, it did not show the full menu item name. Resolved to show split line items on side menu bar.


vi) Bug Fix - Customer Specific - IQA Comments Channel is missing from Progress Views. Resolved to show this within MyProgress.


vii) Bug Fix - When printing a response to PDF, if the side bar menu is expanded, it appears on the PDF. Resolved to remove this menu item from PDF.


viii) Bug Fix - When editing a users profile to remove groups, if you removed a 6th group on the 2nd tab, the update appeared to remove all groups. Resolved to refresh and still show the original 5 groups.


General Report Updates

i) Within the Completions Report by Tags, the "External ID" column has been added, inline with the other reports offered.


ii) Within all reports, the "Created From Date" is currently defaulted to 1 year ago; from Myprogress 8.3, the date will be blank, to allow users to enter their own preferred "Created From Date".


iii) Within the Completions Report by Programme, if a student has no responses for a specific form, they were being omitted from the report. The fix, means they will be included going forward.


iv) Users are now able to type in dates, for easier searching.


v) Within the Completions Report by Tags, if the form template was republished, some of the Tags if there are multiple, are removed. This has now been fixed, to ensure Tags are not removed.


vi) Within the Detailed Response Report, the option is now available to display the "prompt" text of an interaction. Example below - when enabled within the report, it will display any prompt text from within a response.


Mobile App

The Myprogress and branded apps will have a release, to Version 8.4. The release is primarily to support Item 3, the domain whitelisting. If customers are using this, it is important that students ensure the app has been updated. The app does have auto-update enabled, but if users have turned that off, it will manually need to be updated.


Progress Views - Deployments

Within Version 8.3, Progress View deployments (where a framework has been attached to a Program Instance) have been made more streamlined and adaptable; allowing "framework packages" known as Templates, to be setup - so that grading schemes and frameworks can be linked to Program Instances more easily and once attached, be able to edit the specifics of the deployment.


Note that - during the 8.3 migration all existing deployments will have templates created for future use.


Dashboard Update (External Visibility)

When presented with the external view dashboard, users with external visibility, like Practice Staff, we now display a 'program' filter so instead of scrolling to find the program you are interested in you can search for it within the filter dropdown. Listed in alphabetical order.


Progress View Report

We have introduced a new report, to compliment any customer that uses Progress Views. The report outlines any competencies with mapped evidences, any gradings, comments and scores (if used). The Report can be exported, as our other reports, for data manipulation and referencing.
