MyProgress 8.02 introduces the timesheet / practice hours verification feature, a tutor visibility update and other general stabilisation fixes.


Timesheet / Practice Hours Verification

Currently, students can log timesheets, with only a weekly timesheet update going to their "Approver" to review and verify the hours. This new enhancement allows the "verification" of timesheet hours, added by students and only those hours "verified" by their Approver (PA, PS, PEd etc) are added to their overall practice hours.


Students complete their Practice Staff Allocation form, within their Portfolio; this links them together. Students then complete the timesheets as normal and these appear within their "Timesheet" section as "Unverified" hours. (Note - Any hours that are unverified do not add to their overall total practice hours, instead they show on the total "wheel" as unverified)


The Practice Staff member, who the student has added as an approver, when submitting their timesheet, receives an email, with a link to approve the hours. From there they have 2 options - they can either individually go into their linked students portfolios/timesheets and "approve" them or they can go to the new section on their dashboard, where it lists all their outstanding hours to approve. This is displayed as a dashboard and can be reviewed in bulk.


This is a site - wide feature, automatically disabled upon release. If required, it needs some setup including updating existing timesheet activity types and also recommended training for students, University staff and Practice Partners. We highly recommend these considerations are discussed both internally and with us, before the option is enabled.


Tutor Visibility

Currently, tutors can only access student responses via navigating through their Portfolio and clicking on individual responses. This caused issues for older responses not linked to a Portfolio, so as part of this update Tutors now have access to the "Manage Responses" option, like Admins. They can either "search" for the student and click on "Manage Responses" (Fig 1 below) or go into the students Portfolio and click on "Manage Responses" (Fig 2 below). This is automatically disabled upon release, if you want this enabling, please submit a ticket to us.


Note - Tutors can only view responses, they have no editing or deletion rights.


Performance Stabilisation

We've also implemented various performance improvements and optimisations to enhance overall site stability and responsiveness. These updates ensure a smoother user experience with reduced downtime and faster load times across the platform.
