Pan London Consortium Awards electronic Practice Assessment Document (ePAD) Contract to MyKnowledgeMap to support student nurses in practice

Representing around 10,000 nursing students, the Pan London Consortium is a group of 14 universities in London and the south east promoting best practice in student nursing placement assessment together with its healthcare practice partners.   As part of a UK-wide initiative to improve support for student nurses in practice, the Consortium have chosen MyKnowledgeMap as their technology partner to develop an innovative electronic Practice Assessment Document (ePAD).

With the new NMC standards established in 2018, this movement provided nursing educators across the UK with an opportunity to innovate.  Moving away from their existing paper-based approach, educators could now look to take advantage of digital platforms to deliver a radical improvement to supporting student nurses in practice.  As the chosen technology partner for the Pan London Consortium of Universities, MyKnowledgeMap builds on their existing award-winning assessment platform, MyProgress, to deliver an electronic Practice Assessment Document which accompanies student nurses throughout the placement-based aspect of their education programme.

“We are delighted to be selected by the Pan London Consortium as their chosen partner on this prestigious and critically transformative project,” says Rob Arntsen, Chairman at MyKnowledgeMap. “Having worked in close partnership with a number of leading nursing and midwifery schools across the UK over the last 15 years, this partnership is a significant next step for MyKnowledgeMap and the universities we partner with.”

"On behalf of the Pan London Consortium I’m delighted that we are now in partnership with MyKnowledgeMap to deliver the ePAD. This will represent a major step forward in providing effective support to student nurses during their practice placements." adds Nicki Fowler, Deputy Chair of the Pan London Practice Learning Group.
