MyKnowledgeMap has been shortlisted for the Learning Technology Awards with Micro-Learning App, Cuppacare

Delivering in-the-moment learning for care workers in the community, Micro-Learning App, Cuppacare has been shortlisted for the ‘Best Mobile Learning’ category at the 2020 Learning Technology Awards.

Developed by MyKnowledgeMap in collaboration with Sara Dunn Associates, Cuppacare enables care workers in the community to gain valuable knowledge from mini learning courses known as ‘Sips’.  Providing on-the-job training in knowledge and skills in the time it takes to drink a cup of tea, Cuppacare prides itself on supporting care workers, especially during the current global pandemic, in improving the quality of care to vulnerable populations.

As the COVID-19 pandemic has shown, there is a huge amount of pressure on social care, including domiciliary care, to undertake vital and complex tasks with very little support.  In order to help address this demand, targeted and relevant training is essential.”

says Sara Dunn, Founder of Cuppacare.

With funding from vocational technology charity, the Ufi Trust, social care digital specialist, Sara Dunn Associates partnered with learning technology provider, MyKnowledgeMap to develop Cuppacare. A mobile app designed to deliver frontline care workers with high quality 3-10 minute learning courses and accompanying learning content authoring tool to easily design and create engaging and creative micro-learning content to the app.

Having had a successful pilot phase, Cuppacare is now used by 26 early adopter organisations and has recently been endorsed by Skills for Care as a Quality Learning Provider, the first mobile app to receive such endorsement.  Now shortlisted for ‘Best Mobile Learning’ in the Learning Technology Awards, Cuppacare is going from strength to strength.

“We are thrilled to be shortlisted in the best use of mobile learning category.” Says Adam Doyle, Managing Director at MyKnowledgeMap

This is a great achievement for the whole team and recognises the hard work and technical innovation put in to creating a genuine time of need learning solution for care workers.”
