MyKnowledgeMap and CuppaCare win Bronze at the Learning Technologies Awards

Over the past two years, MyKnowledgeMap have worked alongside Sara Dunn Associates to develop CuppaCare – a micro-learning application for care workers. With a projected increase for homecare services, and increased complexity of the healthcare workers role, CuppaCare was designed to meet these needs to provide a training tool that is both flexible and accessible. Following a pilot, CuppaCare is currently being used by 26 early adopter organisations and has had a profound impact on care providers and care workers who have been involved, especially throughout an unexpected pandemic.

Following the Learning Technologies Awards on the 18th November 2020, MyKnowledgeMap and CuppaCare were recognised for their achievements and were awarded the Bronze Award for “Best Use of Mobile Learning”.

The Learning Technology Awards Judging Panel commented on the submission -

A great project that demonstrates not only a clear rationale for the use of mobile devices but also an understand of how mobile devices are used in an effective way and one that helped the developers reach audiences that wouldn’t be reached otherwise. The judges found that it would be all but impossible to deliver the learning experience on anything other than a mobile device, which made this entry stand out”.

The MyKnowledgeMap team are extremely thankful for the award and are proud of the work with Sara Dunn Associates for the CuppaCare project so far. CuppaCare partners will continue scaling up delivery to care providers, including vital on-the-job guidance for the COVID-19 pandemic – as well as widening the market to healthcare and beyond.

CuppaCare founder Sara Dunn commented:

It’s great to have all the work put into CuppaCare acknowledged with this award. We all care passionately about helping key workers such as frontline carers gain access to the best that learning technologies can offer, and we are proud to have achieved that with CuppaCare.”
