MyKnowledgeMap and Anglia Ruskin University win Gold at the Learning Technology Awards

Over the last four years, MyKnowledgeMap has worked closely with Anglia Ruskin University School of Nursing & Midwifery, embarking on a project to transform their approach to assessment and support they provide 2000 pre-registration student nurses on placement with their mobile assessment app and ePortfolio, Myprogress.  The Myprogress project has had a significant impact over this time, with the School becoming completely digital in their approach, delivering better support and helping to reduce the student attrition rate from over 25% to less than 2.5%, a change with a significant national impact.

Yesterday evening, this four-year journey gained national recognition, and MyKnowledgeMap was extremely proud to receive the Gold Award alongside Anglia Ruskin University for ‘Best Learning Technologies Project – Public & Non-Profit Sector’ at the Learning Technologies Award in London.

“Alongside our friends at Anglia Ruskin we are delighted to win this important national recognition for what has been a truly outstanding project. Our mobile assessment app and ePortfolio, Myprogress for nursing practice assessment that we have jointly implemented is tremendously powerful, innovative and leading edge in its use of mobile technologies and other advanced functionality, and it is gratifying to see the positive impact it has made at Anglia Ruskin University. We now continue to invest in Myprogress as it is increasingly adopted for nursing and other healthcare professions globally.” says Rob Arntsen, Chairman at MyKnowledgeMap.

Finally, the MyKnowledgeMap team would like to extend a huge thank you to the team at Anglia Ruskin University, and particularly Sian Shaw, Director of Learning, Teaching & Assessment, Louise Jenkins, Acting Head of School and Claire Driver, Technology Support Officer for their ongoing partnership and support.

About Our Work with Anglia Ruskin University School of Nursing & Midwifery

The largest provider of nursing education in the East of England, Anglia Ruskin University delivers nursing programmes for over 2000 student nurses across 200 placement areas.  Supported by 5000 mentors across the region, the university faced a huge challenge to provide student nurses with the contact time and feedback they required whilst they were out on placement and has since worked with MyKnowledgeMap to implement their ePortfolio and mobile assessment app, Myprogress to transform their approach.
