This week the National Skills Academy for Railway Engineering (NSARE) launched an online training directory of accredited training providers and the courses they offer. The training directory is part of the SkillsBackbone system developed for NSARE by MyKnowledgeMap, and allows anyone working in the railway sector to search the directory to find a course or provider.

The launch of NSARE's online training directory follows the successful implementation of a new training accreditation system launched by the Academy in January 2012. The scheme currently covers those training providers delivering certain courses on behalf of Network Rail and the intention is to expand it to all railway engineering training in the future. All accredited providers are entitled to a listing in the directory.

Access to the directory is via the NSARE website and a prominent link can now be found on the home page. No user name or password is required - NSARE want the directory to be as accessible as possible and for it to become a valuable resource to those people responsible for sourcing training.

The new directory is an integral part of NSARE's SkillsBackbone IT system and links to the system that MyKnowledgeMap developed for accrediting approved trainers and training organisations.
