Following Ohio State University College of Medicine’s pilot study of Myprogress™, MyKnowledgeMap are launching the application in the USA at BbWorld in Las Vegas 15th – 17th July 2014.

BB World 2014 is an event held in Las Vegas by Blackboard. It welcomes thousands of industry leaders from around the globe to network, offer ideas and promote products. This year MyKnowledgeMap are attending for the first time with the offline mobile assessment application Myprogress™ being introduced to the USA.

Myprogress has been developed as a mobile solution for reflective, observational and workplace based, formative competency assessment. The application can be used both online and offline for the convenience of students and university tutors.

Steve Sidaway, MyKnowledgeMap’s Business Development Manager will be on stand 728 providing demonstrations and information about the features and uses of the program.

“I am very much looking forward to the event, it will be great to network with professionals in the US as well as inform them of the Myprogress application and its uses.” Said Steve.

This follows the first pilot study of the program in the US undertaken by Ohio State University College of Medicine. The pilot study of 1,000 students is still ongoing, concentrating on a range of assessment activities associated with assessment of competencies. The study has so far been a success. Victoria Cannon, Director of the office of evaluations, curriculum research and developments at the university explained how the study has gone so far.

“It’s going really well, there’s lots of things to keep track of but it’s been great, the tools have been great in terms of being able to try different things and create different forms.”

“Having a tool that can assess against competencies is key in demonstrating the success of our curriculum and it’s great that with Myprogress we can do that.”

“Being able to use the programme offline is also key and is something that we needed to ensure we had when moving from a paper based system to an electronic one.”
