17th October – MyKnowledgeMap develop sector-based 'Driving Retail Sales' BTEC award

South East England Development AgencyMyKnowledgeMap are developing a unique sector-based BTEC award as part of a 'Training Pools' project funded by SEEDA (South East England Development Agency).

The project aims to address skills shortages and gaps at intermediate level (professional, technical and craft) which are not already in the marketplace or funded from any other public/private source and will initially target retailers in Bluewater and local town centres in Kent, before being rolled out to other town centres across the South East.

Working with the Retail Academy, the Learning Shop at Bluewater shopping centre and North-West Kent College (a Centre of Vocational Excellence for Retail), MyKnowledgeMap will develop a new BTEC Advanced award in Driving Sales in Retail – Level 3, and create five ten-hour units of learning to support the qualification.
