15 October 2007 - MyKnowledgeMap speak at Online Educa, Berlin 2007
On the 29th November MyKnowledgeMap will be attending Online Educa Berlin 2007—the key event for the international technology-supported learning and training industry—to speak about our recent involvement in the Assessment and Learning in Practice Settings project (ALPS), the UK's most ambitious mobile learning and assessment project to date.
The Educa conference attracts an excellent line-up of top international experts and is the largest international event of its kind, with over 2000 delegates from more than 90 countries. High-level decision makers will be attending the conference, including senior professionals from education, business and government.
MyKnowledgeMap will be supporting Gareth Frith from ALPS CETL, University of Leeds to raise awareness of the use of mobile technologies for collaborative learning and assessment purposes using real world examples from the ALPS project, which has seen graduates from a range of health and social care courses use smartphones to assess their competencies in the clinic, hospital or workplace. As part of the presentation, we'll be demonstrating how materials management tools Compendle and Question Builder can be used to create competency quizzes, deliverable to students via mobile technologies.
