This month, MKM launched Compendle Professional, our brand new course planning system. Visitors to MKM’s stand at the Association for Learning Technology Conference in Edinburgh were the first to see the finished program in action. The control it gives organisations over the look and feel of learning materials means that it has already made a splash with training providers who use “custom friendly” e-learning.

Compendle Educational and Compendle Professional have been designed to enable users to build extraordinary e-learning without extraordinary technical know-how. They are a truly innovative way for people of all technical capabilities to compile resources into an easy-to-use course using a simple drag and drop system. The finished course can then be delivered online, on CD-Rom or on your intranet.

The name “Compendle” was born in July of this year after feedback suggested that the original title “Custom-Course” was too dry and technical sounding. Compendle’s fun connotations are far better suited to the nature of the package.

With Compendle Professional, it is now possible to move away from a generic course by customising the look and “feel” of a course to suit your organisation. You can choose the colours you want for the navigation bars, add your own logo and modify the images and text used in compatible, Adobe Flash-based learning courses. Compendle Professional has an easy-to-use interface and includes features requested by training providers along with some innovative ideas of our own. The package can be used in conjunction with the library of retail e-learning and the library of management e-learning to create an e-learning course specific to your organisation.
