20 May 2006 - Stress management course set to go
Stress at work is costing the UK over £7 billion a year. It causes headaches, backaches, anxiety attacks, irritability, binge eating, binge drinking, stomach ulcers and depression. It leads to all kinds of problems in the workplace, which cost the individual and their organisation dearly.
So MyKnowledgeMap together with Rosemary Anderson, a leading expert in the field of stress management, have combined their expertise to produce “It Can Happen to Anyone: Personal Stress Management and Wellbeing” - a comprehensive course focussed on improving the wellbeing of people at work.
The course is designed to be suitable for everybody, from the greenest recruit right up to the CEO. And to lead to benefits for the individual and for the organisation, such as improved morale and organisational performance, less stress-related sickness, lower staff absenteeism and greater profitability.
The course includes a wide range of e-learning topics, including interactive activities, in-depth analysis, a range of helpful tips and suggestions.
The course can be used by learners online or within their organisation’s VLE, so there is no need for outside expertise or specialist knowledge, nor for users to spend extended chunks of time taken away from the workplace.
To be launched this summer, “It Can Happen to Anyone” is already exciting a great deal of interest.
