03 November 2005 - Retail Academy launch Retail Detail

MKM has developed Retail Detail, a new online business support system for retailers, for the Retail Academy. The site has been created in close consultation with the Retail Academy to ensure that it meets retailers’ specialist pressures and demands.

After extensive trialling by small retailers up and down the country, the site was launched by the Retail Academy on September 1st. They report that it is already being enthusiastically received by the trade associations.

Retail Detail operates as a resource and training site for retailers. It contains:

• retail support tool
• retail learning specially developed to meet the time, costs availability and business needs of retailers
• hints and tips for retail practice
• local contact details

Its online learning covers everything from Visual Merchandising to Retail Legislation, all in bite-sized pieces to fit easily into the busy retailer’s day.

Retail Detail enables small retailers to exchange information, news and support with one another. And it provides the resources for them to undertake complete business reviews and implement action plans, as well as structure their employee development and staff training.
