13 October 2005 - ALT / LSDA conference, London
In the first of a busy autumn conference season, MKM’s workshop presentation about the Retail Academy was well attended. With its innovative structure and partnership approach, and its use of learning technology, MKM’s overview presentation of the Retail Academy made by Managing Director, Rob Arntsen, provoked great interest.
A number of delegates present came from sectors such as Health and Social care, and Agriculture and Land occupations. Training in these sectors comes up against comparable difficulties to those found in Retailing. So they were very keen to hear about the Retail Academy’s flexibility of delivery, enabling retailers to take part, despite their limits on available time, and its highly adaptable use of learning technologies.
For MKM’s representatives, it was exciting to hear about the future of e-learning policy from the people making it, including a keynote speech by Michael Stevenson, DfES Director of Technology.
