16 October 2004 - MyKnowledgeMap brings Targeted Learning to BTEC
A new, feature-packed implementation of MyKnowledgeMap’s Skill Gap Analysis system has been helping to guide learners training with Edexcel towards appropriate management knowledge.
Edexcel’s Professional Development Certificate in Management Studies and Professional Development Diploma in Management Studies (CMS and DMS, at NVQ levels 4 and 5 respectively) are part of the popular BTEC suite of management qualifications. They have long been seen as a gold standard of quality and up-to-the minute management training, and MyKnowledgeMap, who developed the e-learning components of the CMS and DMS in partnership with Edexcel and AdVal Keyknowledge, has played an important part in the qualifications’ success.
But now, we’ve developed a Skill Gap Analysis system for Edexcel that extends the value of these interactive management studies materials still further.
Incorporating all the power of MyKnowledgeMap’s SGA system, which quickly identifies the user’s most critical skill gaps according to their own particular priorities and management role, this new implementation for Edexcel is seamlessly integrated with the CMS and DMS materials. Each module of the BTEC training is mapped to a knowledge group in the skills analysis.
So using our user-friendly 3-step interface, managers can assess their own strengths, and identify any weaker areas. They are then taken straight to the management learning that will benefit them the most.
