A major challenge for many manufacturers is that their factories don’t have a working knowledge of the production system. Our Lean Manufacturing course is designed to set factory standards and assist in management of process lines using agreed checks.

The material is designed at an introductory level and aimed at supervisors and key operators. It may also assist other key members in the factory management team who wish to gain a better understanding of production management and lean manufacturing systems.

The course material was designed by a team from the Grimsby Institute of Further and Higher Education which included ex-production and factory workers. Many of the examples in the course are based on experience – work-based projects they have supervised and research work undertaken to create the course.
