Global telecommunications company, Vodafone, used a bespoke ReallyManaging Capability solution to support the skills development of their sales force. Vodafone's system offers single sign-on through their intranet.

The Requirements

Vodafone needed a robust skills analysis platform that would share a sign-on mechanism with their core staff intranet. They wanted powerful reporting that would enable sales managers to understand the strengths and weaknesses of their team.

The Challenge

Vodafone were rolling out a new training programme to their UK salesforce, shifting the focus from product sales to consultative solution selling. They were looking for a way to provide advice and development for salespeople entering a new area of operation.

The Solution

MyKnowledgeMap provided a bespoke implementation of ReallyManaging Capability (back then, we still called it Capability Matrix) which allowed Vodafone's managers to conduct a full assessment of their staff. The powerful 360-degree reports allowed managers and team members to see how their own perspective on their skills and performance differed from the people they worked with.
