Rob Arntsen - CEO
Rob formed MyKnowledgeMap in March 2000 after working at IBM for
22 years. During his time at IBM he held a number of senior
management positions, including UK Manager of New Markets, Northern
Region Manager for General Business Division, and Learning
Technologies Solutions Manager for Europe, Middle East and
Africa. This extensive career has given him expertise in both
general management and the learning technology industry and
continues to guide the progression and success of MyKnowledgeMap
today.
Rob was appointed as a member of the government's National
Advisory Council for Continuous Education and Lifelong Learning,
Technology Working Group and served as a member of the Working
Group on Widening Participation by the Council for Industry and
Higher Education. He was a member of the original IPPR group that
produced the proposal for the University for Industry. He also
previously served as a member of the CBI Regional Council for
Yorkshire & Humberside.
In 2005, Rob was part of the LSDA national steering group on
Innovation in Teaching and Learning. He served as governor and
Chair of Audit for a large FE college for many years and was
recently appointed as a member of the new regional council for the
LSC for Yorkshire and Humber.
Adam Doyle - Operations Director
Adam joined MyKnowledgeMap in 2010 as Operations Director. With
over 22 years experience in software development and ICT services,
Adam has managed large scale development projects for customer like
BMW, Toyota and GMAC. Adam began his career as a software developer
and has extensive expertise in a number of areas, including
software design, project management, support and development
management and business development.
As Operations Director, Adam is responsible for product
development, customer project delivery, hosted services and
customer support.
Peter Thompson - Commercial Director
Peter started with MyKnowledgeMap in 2011 having previously
worked for leading global technology companies such as Sony, Avid
and Autodesk, where he held senior executive positions in product
management, international sales and marketing, and general
management.
Peter is responsible for Sales, Marketing, Product Management
and Customer Services at MyKnowledgeMap.
Mike Moran - Non-Executive Director
Mike is a qualified teacher, social worker and mediator with
over 30 years experience in child care, training and management. He
has held senior posts in Social Services and Voluntary
Organisations. As Head of Training at Barnardos he was involved in
the development of professional and vocational qualifications
through online learning.
He has been a member of Governmental groups on child care
legislation and epilepsy and worked with a number of Government
Departments in the UK and internationally.
Mike has also promoted equal opportunities through local and
national programmes and has been Chair of York Council for
Voluntary Organisations and a Governor of York Hospital Trust.
