Winner of Mobility Project of the Year Award at Techworld 2008

Michael Stuart

We are delighted to announce that our mobile learning and assessment program for ALPS has won the award for Mobility Project of the Year at Techworld 2008. The ALPS system incorporates one of MyKnowledgeMap's flagship products, Multi-Port Mobile, an innovative personal learning space system.

Multi-Port Mobile offers a complete infrastructure for managing online and offline assessments using mobile devices. It is managed through an online portal, which allows tutors to deliver learning materials, provide feedback, and assess competencies.

ALPS (Assessment and Learning in Practice Settings) is a Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning run by five universities in Yorkshire. They have been using Multi-Port Mobile to allow health and social care students on work placements to complete assessments and communicate with their tutors using their PDAs.

The Techworld Awards have firmly established themselves as champions of innovation. Previous Techworld Award winners include some of the most prestigious and successful companies in the IT industry.
