Cogent commission MyKnowledgeMap to produce Passport and Upskilling Platform
Dave Waller
Cogent, the Sector Skills Council for Chemicals,
Pharmaceuticals, Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Petroleum and Polymers
have commissioned MyKnowledgeMap to produce a Passport and
Upskilling Platform that records personal learning and
development.
Leading personal identity card supplier Payne Security will be
partnering with MyKnowledgeMap to produce the cards for the system
which will integrate the contactless smart card technology used by
Transport for London's Oystercard with MKM's Multi-PortTM
e-portfolio system to provide secure, web-based learning
accounts.
Our varied experience of working with Sector Skills Councils
(primarily as providers of "virtual Academy" platforms for managing
skills and competencies across industry sectors) makes
MyKnowledgeMap uniquely placed to offer Cogent expertise across the
broad area of skills management-including training recording,
competency mapping, qualification support, training-provider
support, and skills diagnostics-which should contribute to the
long-term success of the upskilling infrastructure
implementation.
