Level 4 Management Studies
Client:
Edexcel
Primary aim:
MyKnowledgeMap was commissioned by Edexcel, together with Adval Key Knowledge, to redevelop material used in Edexcel's CMS (Certificate in Management Studies) and DMS (Diploma in Management Studies) qualifications, for use in its new Level 4 Management qualification.
Key Challenge:
To take the old, textbook-like material and develop it into dynamic, digital learning.
Solution:
“It Can Happen to Anyone” is versatile and wide-ranging, and it can be followed at different levels, depending on the needs and interests of the learner. It provides a broad range of e-learning resources, ranging from stress analysis tools to in-depth scientific explanations, to quizzes and questionnaires.
Aiming to meet the needs of everyone in an organisation, the course is flexible, so that it can dipped in and out of, or gone through methodically, module by module, either at work or at home.
Beginning with the basics – recognising and understanding stress, and identifying its sources - the course moves on to use the latest stress analysis tools, while also providing ideas, tips and techniques people can use to help themselves manage stress and find a more effective way of thinking about things.

MyKnowledgeMap worked to re-author the learning, commissioning new authors to edit and build upon the earlier, written content.
MyKnowledgeMap has built this new content into 120 hours of dynamic, digital online learning that is interactive and engaging, full of games and gadgets, without compromising the high quality of learning needed for the qualification.
The topics have been technically architected so that they are disaggregateable: they follow a logical sequence within the course, but they can also be easily and coherently extracted and re-ordered by a tutor using an IMS manifest editor.
The material can be delivered in CD, online and VLE versions.
