INFLOW project management system

Client:

INFLOW (Informal Learning Opportunities in the Workplace)

Primary aim:

  • To develop a model for the identification, recognition and management of informal learning taking place within European SMEs, as part of a Leonardo European Community programme.

Key challenges:

  • To develop a system within which different projects in a range of sectors, within different member states, could be managed and co-ordinated.
  • To be useful within the European Union, the system must also be adaptable to a range of languages.

Solution:

MyKnowledgeMap has developed the EMPOWER system for multiple-partner project management.

The system is fully content-managed so that project members can decide upon and manage every part of the online content, revising it as and when they need to.

Incorporating public and private areas, the system allows project managers to communicate both privately, to participants, and publicly, to anyone visiting the site, with general information about projects and news.

The private area is further divided so that project members can liaise with one another within the project, or more widely with other INFLOW members.

Within the private general project area, the system offers a wide range of facilities, specifically designed for the needs of Leonardo projects, including:

  • Resources - database of online and offline sources of useful information
  • Calendar and diary
  • Minutes and agendas
  • Message boards - for idea sharing
  • Contacts - for sending group / individual email
  • Documents
  • Timesheets
